March 2006 - Neo and Lauren
February was Adopt a Rabbit month, and MCRS held a number of events to promote rabbit adoptions - an MCRS adoption day, several adoption days at local shelters, Bunny Basics and Bunny Massage classes, and a booth at this year's Pet Expo. This year's activities were a huge success! In fact, in the month of February MCRS adopted out 8 rabbits and assisted in the adoption of 17 additional rabbits from area shelters. Even better news, between MCRS and the three biggest shelters in the metro area, over EIGHTY rabbits were placed into homes!
In light of this, we saw it fitting to feature a picture recently submitted by Lauren C of her and Neo, the bunny she adopted from MCRS during Adopt a Rabbit Month. Lauren says, "I couldnt be more happy with him! You guys are great and everything you guys are doing for homeless buns is amazing! Neo has made a big difference in my life. I just want to say thank you soooo much and keep doing what you are doing! MCRS is fantastic!"
Congratulations to Lauren and Neo and to all the other bunnies who found new families and new homes. Thanks also to all the MCRS volunteers who contributed to February's events and helped make Adopt a Rabbit Month a great success.
