April 2005 - Tex and Sherman
April's photo comes from Peter W, bunny dad to Tex (red and white spotted lop) and Sherman (agouti brown lop), two rabbits who came to us in last year's confiscation. Sherman was adopted by Peter late last year while he was fostering Tex for MCRS. While the relationship was rocky in the beginning, the two soon decided they were best buds, and Tex found his forever home with Peter as well.
Many of you may have met the social Sherman at our 2004 member meeting in Roseville. Peter told us Sherman likes to be comfortable and has a routine when he goes to bed. He jumps up onto his cage and makes a nest with some sheet material, then he takes the corner of the sheet in his mouth and rolls over, tucking himself in at night!
Peter recently shared this picture of Tex and Sherman saying, "My boys. They get stressed out sometimes..." He explained that it actually occurred when Sherman was grooming Tex and tripped over him. Then he decided to just stay there, leaving Peter laughing as he grabbed the camera. It was too cute not to share with all of you, so it's being chosen as our first-ever MCRS Bunny Photo of the Month.
